How family patterns influence your communication and leadership style
Learn when and why your strategies are sucessful and when they are not
Are you an over-achieving first born, a social go-getting second born or the "cute and charming" youngest? What does this mean? Does your place in your family impact your reactions today? From our family, we develop a number of spoken and unspoken messages which create our abilities to deal with the stress related to our job, peer relationships and connections with our loved ones. By the time we become adults, we have a set belief system that influences our communication and parenting styles, our stress coping strategies, and conflict resolution patterns. Your reactions in an organisation, for example, to a demanding boss or a nagging secretary, might depend on the first organisation you ever encountered – your family! The purpose of this presentation in the 120minutenBUSINESSWOMEN workshop is to make participants realise these dynamics and to use them more effectively when communicating in situations arising at work or home, from job responsibilities and peer interactions.

She moved to Switzerland when she got married, and her four children were born in Basel. As a single mother Elli graduated in law from the University of Basel in 1992. Since then she has been working at UBS, first in the area of communication & training, and now in Employer/Employee relations. While working, Elli Planta finished her education as a Counsellor of Individual Psychology at the Alfred Adler Institute in Zürich and holds a MBA-certificate from the University of Zurich. She gives seminars and workshops on topics such as management, team development, leadership, encouragement and parenting.

Lageplan Öffentliche Parkplätze finden Sie auf der gegenüberliegenden Strassenseite beim Restaurant Aqua oder in der blauen Zone. Falls Sie mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln anreisen, so benutzen Sie den Bus vom Bürkliplatz in Richtung Rüschlikon und steigen an der Halltestelle "Schweizer Rück" aus.
